Research has shown that the trajectory of happiness often follows a 'U' shaped curve in life, with an initial decline beginning around age 18 and reaching its lowest point around age 47 in developed countries. However, here's the exciting part: happiness begins to rise once again after age 50. But, and this is a significant 'but,' there's a crucial caveat to consider. To truly embrace and sustain that late-life happiness and life satisfaction, we must be well-prepared for the later years in terms of our health, mindset, financial resources, and social connections. Mid-life (and beyond) preparation becomes the key to unlocking a future filled with increased happiness and fulfillment.
